Pros

Super high-tech environment, professionally challenging, highly competent coworkers, and flexibility to transfer within the company. Once inside, you are usually welcome to stay indefinitely – a kind of lifetime job. Also, a refreshingly high balance of female to male workers, also in engineering. Very international workforce.

Cons

Very large organizations make it easy to lose one's feeling of direct contribution, which is usually just a very small part of the whole. It's easy to find oneself locked into one specific aspect of work for several years in a row. Most higher permanent positions are dominated by native Dutch.

The salaries are not competitive at an international level, unless you're highly educated but used to lower salaries and worse employment benefits, like in India or Brazil.

Advice to Management

Make the salary offers more competitive, especially for those who have worked at ASML already for a long time as contractors and want to switch to full-time. Otherwise, you will lose them.
