Contracts say up to 80% travel, and they will milk that out of you as an American. They are a Dutch-run company and operate as such. There are constant battles with auditors over expense reports. Work-life balance for traveling employees is far below what management advertises. Americans get shafted, as Dutch employees get 30 paid holidays a year.
Adjust your travel policy in regards to work-life balance. There is a reason hardware engineers have a three-year burnout rate at this company. Practice what you preach.
