Pros: Working from Home, Flexible Time

Cons: Extra Work, Over Time, After Hours

Pros: For the most part, the people that work here are great. My software coworkers were all great, and our scrum manager was a decent human being. Another bonus was the occasional free food and swag that the company gave out. Also, there were lots of windows in the offices.

Cons: Although I liked working at AT&T, there were some issues from the managerial side. We were given little guidance on what to work on, other than the task of maintaining critical services. This led to most of the software engineers inventing busy-work for themselves to do. We were very rarely given concrete tasks by management. Our project manager was not a software guy, and also did not share his vision for the product. He was very hands-off for the whole time I was there. He never requested us to add features to the product. Most of the time we spent working was fixing bugs, creating monitoring dashboards, and writing test cases. As a software engineer, my favorite thing to do is BUILD GREAT SOFTWARE. Giving us aimless tasks and vague requests is not fun. I want a concrete product to build.

Pros: Good Pay Good Location Large company that has a lot of options

Cons: Large company, can be bureaucratic at times.
