Pays well and a decent cafeteria.
Even though it pays well, it is probably the closest thing to paid slave labor I've ever experienced.
Realize that people are not robots and re-humanize the work process.
Find some leaders/management with dynamic personalities who are not dead inside.

AT&T Interview Experiences
Mobile Engineer
All interviewers are very friendly, nice, respectful, and go straight to the point. The questions are easy and open, however, we should answer carefully and properly. The process will be a little longer, which may be caused by multi-department review
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process was standard. The first interview was over the phone. The second interview was at the AT&T facility with a local employee and a manager based out of state. Basic technology questions. Nothing too complicated.
Software Engineer
A brief written test on object-oriented programming and experience. Some written test on hypothetical critical thinking scenarios. The interview lasted about a couple of hours and went relatively smoothly.
