Have had no problems working with coworkers and middle management. Focused on the product, little-to-no micromanagement. Decent work-life balance (but changing with RTO).
The executive team made huge mistakes, like purchasing DirectTV for $69 billion. They don't like flexible hours and work-from-home, forcing a 5-day return to office with hour tracking. This is for being physically in the office without enough capacity at certain locations, and for cost-cutting. There's no trust in employees to focus on work.
The current management is inflexible and regressive. They are focused only on dividends, instead of being progressive.
They are leeches extracting from the success of the founders, researchers, engineers, and technicians providing value, obsessed over pointless things like trying to strictly enforce being present in the office the full day.
The CTO doesn't even have any sort of technical background.
Asked about education background and recent work activity. Asked about programming language experience. Asked about recent programs written with C and Python. Asked about systems programming experience and concurrency handling.
2 technical interviews with team leaders, 1 short technical exam, and one interview with HR.
First, a call of half an hour, and then an exam from home (remote link with 14 questions, most are multiple choice and 1 coding question), then a scheduled interview with screen sharing.
