Cons

Bureaucracy; too much process; too many reorganizations; too much status; mismatch of management skill set to job function.

Advice to Management

Spend less time reorganizing and shuffling middle management into positions for which they are not qualified.

Key personnel end up wasting their time trying to educate their management, just so they can try to impress management, who are also new to their area. This is not an efficient use of time and resources.

Spend less time obtaining and reporting on status, and more time performing the job function.

Stop using work location as a key factor in force reduction initiatives. High performers are being released and average performers are being retained simply because of their work location. This is very short-sighted.
