Super easy, very flexible. I did like the people; it was a friendly group. Salary was fair for low expectations.
Poor leadership, mostly unqualified people making million-dollar decisions all day that end in disaster on a regular basis. It's truly amazing they are still in business.
The Engineering Architecture group is poorly funded, poorly staffed, and has little to no say in the bad decisions.
It's really easy to stay, but I feel like I'm leaving there less skilled than when I arrived. It's only been 4 years. It's going to be a hard transition to a real engineering team.
I would suggest you get your core business in order before buying more companies. I think AT&T is too big, has too many pots, and does a very poor job at most of it. I absolutely hate the billing model on just about every product. It's micromanaged, hard to calculate, and that's how they like it. Change your billing models and consumers will quit suing you.
Quick, easy, positive. Interviewers were polite and understanding when I mentioned I had class and exams and asked to reschedule. Interviews were at the beginning of the workday or at the end.
Spoke to recruiter to gauge interest level and salary expectations. Spoke to development manager. Was given rapid, general software-related questions, including: * Prior jobs * Dev environments * Software * Projects * Area of interest * Salary exp
I did the first round of behavioral interviews, but have yet to be scheduled for the technical interview, one month later. They asked behavioral questions such as how to resolve conflict or about your greatest technical strength.
