Pros

Great teams and peers to work with.

Cons

Clueless, incompetent management.

Bought other companies left, right, and center during the last decade. New management sold pretty much everything that was bought (DirecTV, Warner Bros) as they had no competence to run those businesses.

New management's cloud direction isn't going well, and the data center closure decision is perhaps coming back to bite them.

So, now they are closing pretty much all office locations across the nation except 5 "hubs" in the name of return to office.

Talk about irony: a company that sells VPN, internet, and phone products that are supposed to provide remote working, connecting people geographically away from each other, is closing all offices across the country and forcing employees to move along with their families to these 5 "hubs".

Advice to Management

Refrain from making sudden, harsh decisions that will blow away employee morale. The company's decision to buy other businesses, like DirecTV, failed massively, and now the decision to close offices across the country will come back to bite you in the future.

You will be competing for talent and resource hires in the five "hubs" with many other companies and will lose out in the telecom war. Talent is all across the country; closing 98% of offices nationwide has got to be, by far, one of the worst decisions ever made by any management for any business.
