Process

The Atlassian recruitment team is great. They are the best recruiters I have seen in terms of follow-up and prompt replies.

Interview Experience:

I attended an onsite interview at the Mountain View office. The first round started with a coding question. Surprisingly, they did not ask any LeetCode or algorithm problems, which was an unpredicted question.

The second round was an algorithm question. The interviewer lacked patience and did not allow me to think. After a brief pause, they verbally provided the solution and asked me to write the code. This approach is questionable, as every problem has multiple solutions and ways to solve it. It is not ideal to code your thoughts while the interviewer appears impatient.

The third round involved a design discussion with principal engineers. Both engineers were very decent; they knew when to stop and ask further questions. I really enjoyed this discussion.

The fourth round was a behavioral interview. They seem to have a great culture and asked common questions about challenges faced, etc. The interviewer was continuously typing on their laptop, focusing more on data entry than the discussion. Thankfully, it was very quick, and I left the office.
