The initial call was set up with the hiring HR to understand the candidate's profile, covering various aspects like challenges, roles and responsibilities, and future expectations. This is quite good to have, as it helps to understand what the JD is all about.

Following the discussion, two rounds of interviews were scheduled: browser coding and JS coding.

Browser coding is to develop an HTML element based upon the requirements.

JS coding is to check the candidate's strengths in JS (not typical JS questions, but rather implementation tasks that we generally use).

Since the candidate was not able to clear the above rounds, it was great that HR came back with feedback so the candidate can improve going forward for future opportunities at Atlassian.
