First, there was an online algorithm test. You had to pick two out of five questions, and it wasn't really hard.
Then, they will reach out to you for a telephone interview. You can choose a date from the options they provide.
The telephone interview is not technical; it's mostly like an HR interview.
I received a rejection email after the telephone interview, which stated they had found more suitable candidates.

Pros: - Good pay in the Australian market.
- Still better than most companies to work for, even with difficulties surviving here.
Cons: - Too many strategy changes in the short term, ambiguous long-term goals.
- Too much expected from ICs in terms of task variety and task complexity.
- Everybody is on their toes due to performance reviews.
- Performance reviews killed the culture in a short time period.

Pros: Great people and great remuneration!
Cons: Atlassian’s biggest flaw isn’t the tech, it’s the management. Instead of building trust or giving clear direction, they try to “motivate” people through pressure and fear.
The result? Teams constantly scrambling, rushing features just to hit arbitrary dates. Corners get cut, bugs slip through, and everyone’s too anxious to speak up. It’s not innovation—it’s survival.
