This was the worst interview process organization I've ever experienced. I've never encountered such incompetent HR.
After applying, I received a link for an online programming test. Upon completion, I received positive feedback, and then the real challenges began.
First, I received an email stating that as part of the second round, I needed to answer several questions included in the email. Since the questions were clearly not relevant to my position (e.g., "What are the most important attributes in being a successful product manager?" or "What was your biggest product mistake?"), I replied by asking if they were sure they had sent the correct questions.
I received no reply for a week, so I decided to contact them again. Only after that did I receive an email with an apology, stating they would like to conduct a Skype interview as the next step, with just the recruiter at that moment.
We then scheduled an online chat for the same day. However, the recruiter made another mistake, mistakenly scheduling it for another day. Consequently, I waited for the call until very late at night (due to the time zone difference) in vain.
After that, we agreed to schedule an interview for another time (null) and to add each other on Skype. The recruiter never followed up. After a month, I contacted him again to schedule the interview.
We scheduled it for the next day, morning in Sydney, which was again late at night for me in Europe. When I saw the recruiter online at the designated time, I contacted him immediately. He responded with "Hi" and then ceased responding.
I emailed him that I was waiting for him, but received no reply. The next day, he responded by asking, "I haven't heard from you." This greatly angered me, especially since we had agreed on a specific date and time, and he was clearly aware of me, as evidenced by his initial greeting on Skype.
I don't know if this person was dishonest or simply incompetent, but if they employ such recruiters, I can only imagine the quality of people those recruiters would hire. Therefore, I would never want to work for such a company. Avoid it if you can. HR deals with the company's most valuable assets (its employees), and if that function doesn't work, something is terribly wrong.
To summarize, I did not pass the interview because I was ultimately unable to participate in it due to the sheer incompetence of the company's HR department.
The most difficult task was for HR to schedule an interview and send the correct answers for the position, which they failed to do correctly three times in a row.
