Process
Interviews aren't hard; they start with a very simple problem and then build it up slowly. LeetCode Easy is enough to prepare.
I found the recruiter wasn't very responsive and disappeared for weeks after promising to call.

Pros: Great perks, support, and company culture.
Can work from anywhere in NZ or Australia, plus other countries. 100% remote :)
Budget for professional development. Fully supported path to learn and move to a manager role if you want to.
Cons: Primarily work on legacy Java stack with long compile times.
Large company, so hard to get into roles above Senior Engineer.

Stack ranking destroyed the company culture
Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee
Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand

Pros: The total compensation is good, and you work with really smart people. There aren't many benefits for New Zealand.
Cons: The company uses Stack Ranking now, so it's you against your teammates (someone has to be at the end of the curve and put on performance review or fired). You won't receive any performance feedback before it happens.
