My interview experience with Atlassian left me feeling disappointed.
I underwent a one-hour Karat interview, which felt rushed with a fast-paced instructor. While the initial questions were average, the first ten minutes felt particularly hurried. Despite a strong performance in the subsequent 40 minutes, I received feedback that I didn’t meet the required score level.
I promptly retook the Karat test within 24 hours, this time with significantly improved results. However, my disappointment grew when I reached out to the recruiter multiple times for feedback and received no response.
After investing two weeks of preparation, it was disheartening to feel judged solely on a Karat interview, especially with seven years of experience. I believe feedback and communication are essential aspects of the hiring process, and I hope Atlassian can improve in these areas for future candidates.
