Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The initial OA consisted of 4 questions of LC easy and mediums.

I had an in-person behavioral screen soon after through a career fair, then a technical screen right after that which covered LC mediums.

The virtual onsite consisted of:

  • A DS&A round with more LC mediums
  • A system design round
  • A behavioral round with management

I'm not sure why I had two behavioral rounds, one at the beginning and one for the onsite, since when I had the first behavioral, they implied this would make the second one unnecessary.

The system design question was extremely vague, and when I asked the interviewer to clarify the problem, he turned it back on me to define my own problem constraints; however, he seemed to be unhappy with the constraints I set.

Other than that, I felt pretty confident with my answers at every round, but I got a rejection email the day after my onsite. The email also specified they would not be able to provide any feedback, which is unfortunate.
