Nice Peers, Surprising Low Rankings
Peers (at IC level) are very nice folks.
- Stack ranking
- Managers are not upfront if you're not going to meet/exceed expectations.
- Lower rankings tend to come as a surprise since the manager was telling you that you're doing great and trending to exceed.
- Software is about complacency; folks don't care about improving and optimizing.
- If it's working, let's keep doing it.
- No ownership from end to end.

SWE Intern
I had an online assessment consisting of 4 problems, out of which I solved 3. This was followed by 2 rounds of interviews: the first was technical, and the second was behavioral. I'm not sure if this is standard.
Software Engineer
I had a variation of the "best time to buy a stock" question. The interviewer was rude and ill-prepared, but I figured out the question. The process was okay overall. The questions were LeetCode medium.
