Pros
  • Good amount of problems and challenges to be solved.
  • Great culture and people. Very open, engaging, and friendly. This makes a lot of difference.
  • Managers are enablers. They can vouch for you, but they can't promote you; they don't have that power. This reduces politics and favoritism.
  • Ownership is expected and followed.
  • Amazing documentation.
  • Decent salary.
  • Good benefits.
Cons

Differences in perks across geographies.

For example, for the US, the on-call allowance per day is $50 on weekdays and $100 on the weekends. All other countries have the same pattern, except India, where the on-call allowance per weekday is ₹900, and for the weekend, it's ₹1200 (not ₹1800).

We equally love to enjoy our weekends just as any other country. Why is there pay parity here?

Other places either have fully equipped gyms or fitness reimbursement. In the Bangalore office, the fitness room is a joke, and there is no fitness reimbursement.

Insurance amount is limited to 1,000,000 INR even with voluntary top-up. It should be increased.

Base pay salary increments are not up to the market standard. Hope they change this.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work; attrition is low and many employees are happy. But please don't treat the India centre any differently from other offices around the world. Benefits should be uniform, which isn't the case in some aspects.
