Pros

The work offered opportunities to grow technical skills and work on impactful projects. It was a valuable learning experience in terms of developing new abilities.

Cons

The performance improvement plan (PIP) process felt more like a tool for pushing employees out rather than genuinely supporting improvement. Even after measurable progress and contributions, decisions appeared pre-determined, making the entire process demoralizing and unfair.

Forced Resignations: Employees were frequently encouraged to resign, with confidentiality clauses preventing them from speaking out about their true experiences. This creates a culture of fear and mistrust.

In my case, despite clear contributions and consistent efforts, I was asked to resign, and my departure was publicly framed as a voluntary decision for other opportunities.

Misleading Practices: Announcing employee resignations as voluntary while enforcing confidential processes to hide the truth reflects poorly on the company’s ethics and transparency.

Advice to Management

Reform the PIP and performance management process to genuinely support improvement, rather than using it as a tool for attrition.

Prioritize transparency and ethical practices, as these are critical for building employee trust and maintaining a positive culture.
