The first round was with the hiring manager. They asked questions about my professional experience and provided a summary of the team.
The second interview was with a senior developer and a junior developer. They asked me to share my screen and provided a link to answer some Python and SQL challenges. They also asked me to talk about each solution while resolving the problems, so we were talking while I was programming.
However, the feedback I received at the end was “the candidate asked for help.” I think this feedback was totally incongruous because I only talked to them because they asked me to do so. To be honest, I prefer to answer my challenges in silence.
An interview like this gives me insight into the team's culture. So, honestly, I'm glad I didn't continue.
