I was directed to Workday to apply, where I was asked to retype all of the information provided in my resume. There was no function to export it from the resume I had attached, which is indicative of poor and outdated technology and bad UX.
After 15-20 years, this would take several hours, so I advised them to refer to the resume, as that's what it is for.
I suspect these job postings and application processes are created to collect data rather than to hire. They are requesting way too much personal data prior to any interview, and I wouldn't provide it.
Later, I received a scripted email to say they wouldn't be moving forward and had difficulty removing and deleting the Workday account.
I'm glad I refused to enter such personal information, as it's difficult to remove it.
Asked about resume and experience.
