Standard process: Recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. I spoke to the recruiter, then spoke with the manager of the team I was interviewing for, then I had one more technical round with the team architect, and then 3.5 hrs virtual onsite interview. Everyone was super friendly and I enjoyed speaking with all of them. All the interview questions were really easy. The process was super fast as well.
Once I cleared all the interviews and the recruiter called me to congratulate me and discuss offer details, I was shocked when I heard the numbers. Autodesk low balls a lot, but this was shameful of them to come and offer me compensation that was well below the market. In fact, I had discussed the compensation with the recruiter before the interviews started, and the compensation offered was nowhere close to that. I was offered 20% less than what I currently make. It was a complete waste of time and energy. Hence, stay away from them.
