Software Engineer Interview Experience - Montreal, Quebec

Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

The interview process took 4 weeks and had 4 steps:

  • HR call with simple, standard questions.
  • Home exercise involving a GitHub code review (frontend with React, backend REST API with Java, and database).
  • Manager call.
  • Onsite interview, which included three interviews: two technical ones with simple open questions (no code writing) and a relational interview with the head of the branch (a very cool conversation).

I received an offer the day after and accepted it. I have never regretted the decision. It is a great company.

Questions

Here's an SPA (single page application).

How will you build it? How will you deploy it? How will you build the API?

If there's more traffic, how do you adjust? What if you still have a huge load on the server, what do you do?
