The company builds tools and services that touch almost everything you see around you. From architecture to product design to Hollywood movies, Autodesk is always up to something interesting and purposeful. UX is starting to get a seat at the executive table, and there is an emerging culture of customer-focused design thinking.

Cons

The company is facing a huge set of challenges as they change business models. They've been enjoying a strong revenue stream from yearly sales and large accounts for most of their history, and now they have to earn a customer's love each month. They are saying the right words, but the culture change will still take some time.

Advice to Management

Trust your employees to make tough calls and good decisions.

Encourage iteration and tolerate occasional failures.

Broadcast those learnings throughout the company so all divisions can benefit from them.
