Pros

There are good opportunities, but it depends upon many aspects like visibility and connections. More visibility means more chances to get interesting opportunities. One thing is that every year or two, a project would change. Pay and perks are okay.

Cons

Work-life balance depends upon the projects, stakeholders, and managers.

Some organizations are too vertical, so getting visibility is tough. In some organizations, there is favoritism, which demotivates a lot. It's like a crying baby gets more attention – that kind of care.

Pay isn't always truly aligned with performance. Some have gotten promotions by just doing the same thing for a whole year. Decisions made aren't transparent; there's no rationale.
