Autodesk is truly an amazing place to work. As a company, it's different – it's not your typical heartless corporate entity out to make money. It cares about the employees, customers, environment, and the planet as a whole. This sentiment pervades through the company and is palpable. People are genuinely friendly, and the attrition rate is really low.
The work culture is almost too collaborative for Autodesk's own good. There are too many meetings and emails about the littlest thing. Middle management doesn't feel empowered to make decisions and leaves it to VPs to make the call. Product decisions are top-down. Product managers are always looking for approval from executives to make tough calls. Too many levels of management and people are well entrenched make it difficult for people aspiring to grow.
Hire some new blood to freshen the culture. Empower teams to go do it.
Talked to the recruiter and hiring manager. The first one was about 30 minutes, and the second one was about an hour. Very professional process. The interview was easy, but there was not enough alignment.
The interview process involved a recruiter round, an HM round, and a technical screen round. This process was frustrating and very slow. I had to follow up with the recruiter and a scheduler at every stage. It took them 2-3 weeks to get back to me
Did not have an OA (online assessment). Sent an interview scheduling request a few weeks after submitting the initial application. The first round is mostly behavioral, scheduled for around 45 minutes on the calendar.
