Senior Engineer Interview Experience - Los Angeles, California

Process

The first phase was acceptable but time-consuming.

The second phase was overall weird, and the app had multiple bugs. There was a time limit per task, but because there was no clarity on what they were looking for, and the app itself had so many bugs that I pointed out, I didn't know what they were expecting as a result. My solution was simple and worked, but the interviewer, who was white, claimed it did not work. Weird and unfair. No one else validated his claims. I even posted videos.

I felt like the company was a typical remote American company following a global pecking order, AKA a "white first" remote culture. Boring, disgusting company. Mediocre, like PHP.
