Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Turkey

Process

Unfortunately, their interview process is opaque and has numerous flaws.

As described on their interview process page, I was invited to their limited Slack channel and interviewed for 90 minutes. After the chat, they shared a private GH repo for a coding challenge.

From what I've experienced, the code review is done by a random engineer who might not even have experience with what the coding challenge asks. They give you a single shot to describe/code. When the random engineer reviews, they may vaguely decline you with predefined messages stating there are missing error handling or security vulnerabilities.

After you receive the decline, HR does not care about you anymore. They don't provide any feedback on what exact cases you failed.

I went on to check the experiences of the people involved in my interview and was amazed by what I saw. They didn't even have enough experience in the field yet could make a call on your submissions.

So don't get fooled by their PR on how they make it convenient for you to apply. Expect having a week of waste.
