I applied online and received an email a week later from the hiring manager, inviting me to a guest Slack channel for a text-only interview.
The interview lasted 90 minutes and included standard questions. Some additional team members joined the channel but did not participate in the discussion, even when the hiring manager tagged them and asked for their feedback.
Ten days later, I received an email stating I was not a "perfect fit" for the role but would fit the company culture. No feedback was provided, leaving me unsure of the reasons for not being a fit.
The hiring manager was pleasant during the interview but did not communicate cordially via email, which gave the impression of a lack of care.
