Automattic makes me feel like a human, not just another cog in the machine. My input has impact, and my time is mine to manage. Yearly compensation reviews are impacted by your results and accomplishments rather than the time spent at work.
Still pulling from its startup days with little hierarchy and a hacky product culture, tech debt can be difficult and frustrating to overcome.
