Pros
  • Completely distributed company: you can work from anywhere and you are not a second-class employee because of it.
  • Globally competitive salary: no local company can offer me that much in Prague.
  • Huge trust in employees: you take as much vacation as you need, and you work when it suits you.
  • Nobody micromanages you: you do what you do because you want to do it and because you see the impact of your work.
  • The company has a long-term vision; they want to create a company where everybody is happy for a long, long time.
  • You will travel to team meetups a few times a year.
  • Because the company hires from all across the world, they hire the best. There is a lot of talent in the company to learn from.
Cons
  • Remote work is not for everybody.
  • You will travel to team meetups a few times a year.
  • It can take a long time to get a reply after sending a resume.
Advice to Management

Speed up the initial scanning of job applications, or at least send a "your resume is being considered; it can take a long time to get a reply" email.

Explain to candidates why several hiring steps are text-only. It is not obvious, and without explanation, it feels very strange.
