Before Automattic, I would hop on and hop off from one company to another, trying to find that missing magic. I never stayed with a company for more than two years. However, this changed when I joined Automattic. I immediately felt in sync with the company's mission, the distributed way of working, the unprecedented level of transparency, and the fact that my colleagues are the best in class, not only in terms of engineering but also as individuals.

I am about to close my third year at Automattic, and I look forward to many more years ahead. The unstable global economic situation hasn't made this an easy journey, not just for me but also for most of my colleagues. However, together we are able to battle through it, support one another, and contribute to the success of Automattic as a whole.

The only downside I've encountered is related to hiring, as it is currently on freeze, making it a bit more challenging to progress. However, I understand that this is a result of the current unstable global economic situation, and it is not Automattic's fault per se.

Your employees are truly best in class. You have always been aware of that and have been doing everything possible to help them succeed.
