Your work position does not feel safe anymore. The company has gone through a headcount cut (and is still going) but they’ll never recognize it as layoffs. They justify it with performance issues, but it’s not true at all. Many valid colleagues were let go without being given a real reason (even when asking for it).
Now we are all afraid about performance and feedback, which has created a toxic environment.
They are pushing people to be “the best in the room or be out of it.”
Management should take more responsibility for their decisions and not blame ICs.
