Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Dublin, Dublin

Process

Applied through my college's placement process portal and received an email requesting a phone interview one week after the deadline for applications closed.

The phone interview was 60 minutes with two senior developers who, it would later transpire, were on my SCRUM team.

It was a mixture of standard behavioural questions and technical questions. My technical questions went terribly, but I got on very well with the two interviewers, and we talked for a long time about some of my more interesting projects.

Found out the next week that they would be extending an offer.

Questions

Technical questions about polymorphism, inheritance, SQL syntax, differences between Java and C, and multithreading.

Behavioral questions about previous teamwork experience, communication, challenges with projects, and how I overcame them.
