Pros: None, unless you count working 24/7 as a pro.

Cons: Work-life balance is horrible. Toxic teammates. 20 years behind in tech. Horrible health insurance and health insurance premiums. Be prepared to work day & night, even when you sleep. Too much politics. Favoritism is required for any promotions or salary increases. Diversity is non-existent (only South Asian teammates on every team).

Pros: Well-known company. Stable compared to other financial companies in the industry. Flexible.

Cons: I've worked there for 10 years on the technology side in various lines of businesses (Consumer, GCIB). Similar to most companies, there is a lot of internal infighting, politics, and process that makes it hard to get things done. A major problem is the way projects are funded and staffed, where every group bills another group like a consulting company. It's all rather silly and makes it very expensive for projects to get funded. Anyways, in my years at the bank, the technology side is in the worst shape I've ever seen it. Communication is often in the form of blast emails and communications. There is so much "communication" it is really just spam. It helps a lot to have a manager or senior manager that is well respected as well. I do believe the business side is run much better.

Pros: Good place to work, pays well, great benefits.

Cons: Will always keep you over capacity. Always feels like you’re behind no matter how quickly you’re working.
