Pros

The reviews below are with reference to the Hyderabad center.

  • Work-life balance.
  • Quartz is a great initiative to work on, with a product development culture and ideas.
Cons

Below reviews are with reference to the Hyderabad center.

  • A typical service-oriented environment.
  • An extremely slow-moving investment banking industry.
  • Least aggressive when it comes to making changes within a company.
  • Bureaucracy galore in each and every process involving application development or supporting processes.
  • Do not trust employees, their ideas, or experience.
  • Orthodox ways of working.
  • Politics within ranks, including VPs. Focus is not on delivering highly scalable products but on saving their own skin if anything goes wrong. No real skill among the management.
  • Every HR initiative/idea is just for namesake. No inputs provided are ever taken into consideration.
Advice to Management
  • Create a new vision where you can let engineers drive creativity and innovation.
  • Focus on delivering highly scalable products.
  • Trust employees and provide an environment to infuse leadership, letting young engineers run the gamut of projects.
  • Lose the extremely slow and painful ways of doing things.
  • A large organization is not an excuse to not let engineers lead from the front.
  • Let go of service mentality and start focusing on delivering and contributing to products as if you are the owners. Service providers only provide services, but product owners provide solutions.
