Within the banking space, there are tons to be learned. It uses a wide variety of tech stacks, from Python to React/Redux, some machine learning, HDFS, etc. Great work-life balance if communicated right.
Slow career progression and low salary (if considering the entire SWE industry).
However, salary is pretty okay within banking SWE.
Cut BAs and replace with more developers and capable managers.

Overall, a good process. I was contacted by HR and after a brief technical discussion, interviewed by a technical person. I was asked questions based on core Java concepts, academic projects, and SQL queries. I got an offer and accepted it.
