Pay was good for the location. Colleagues were friendly and very knowledgeable.
It's an old, conservative, slow-moving, bloated, bureaucratic, risk-obsessed bank.
As such, it's a very frustrating place for anyone to work, especially people in software. You won't face any real technical challenges, only administrative ones.
No one gets into software engineering to move at a snail's pace and work with technology that's 40 years old. I feel like I left the bank a less capable engineer than when I arrived.
