Pros

There are no pros. Work somewhere else.

Cons
  • Toxic tech organizations. They treat you like you are disposable.
  • You are treated worse than business associates. They get tons of benefits while you get nothing.
  • No job security. They are constantly trying to shrink their tech groups to "save" money.
  • No room for growth. The bank fails to allow new technology to be utilized, so you will never learn new industry standards in software.
  • No creativity. Every single person here refuses to be innovative, and it is actually frowned upon by management.
  • Poor pay. Mediocre at best with no compensation for going above and beyond. Also, promotions barely increase pay.
  • Bad, retaliatory, lazy, and toxic managers. I knew I was going to be treated badly since the day I was hired due to manager bias.
  • Terrible remote work policies. Be ready to come in 3 days a week or face disciplinary action.
Advice to Management
  • Stop treating tech workers worse than business workers.
