Like an ordinary IT company.

Cons

The worst thing, even in the current COVID situation, is that employees are expected to work almost 10-11 hours a day, and weekends too, without company-provided laptops and required accessories, with their fluctuating networks.

Most testing projects are a kind of production support profile. If you are in a good project, then good; otherwise, there is too much work pressure, and testing managers are the most pressurizing.

As they do not have teams for technical support, managers expect the testing team to provide support.

No learning. You will lose your skills if you spend more time here.

All weekends are working as no dedicated team is available to provide support for monitoring production support thousands of batches!

Tools used are of outdated legacy technologies and too slow. You will end up spending a lot of time because the applications are too slow.

Just for formalities, they take skip-level and one-on-one meetings! No actions are taken!

You will hardly see any festival celebrated here. Not even Diwali or Independence Day! You feel like working in a lonely environment among workaholic people!

No documentation of requirements.

Teams end up spending almost half a day in unnecessary mandatory meetings, which impacts work.

Contract employees are taking full advantage of company policies and do not support on weekends, take time off etc., but company employees are forced to work on weekends, that too without any compensation benefit. If anyone takes leave, they need to still complete all pending tasks, which were poorly managed and allocated. If management doesn't know how to schedule work with team leave plans, then why is the company giving leaves to employees?! Managers listen to contract employees rather than their own team. In fact, there is no trust in their own team.

You are not allowed to ask questions or doubts because it creates a question mark on the manager's skills. Such a pathetic culture! Unless you ask, how will you come to know?!

Managers are demotivating and always pressurizing. Poor planning of work.

Advice to Management

Upper management needs to really understand employees' genuine concerns and take necessary steps so that employees are motivated about work.

Trust your team rather than contractors.

Strictly no to meetings if they are not required and can be done via email, so that the team can focus on work.

Strict action for middle management and managers for harassing employees.
