I worked there for 7 years and, of course, had its ups and downs, but I loved it. That's why I stayed for so long. The pay is good and competitive in the retail job realm. You get bonuses on numbers, which is great. It gives good motivation, and the employee discount is amazing. The culture is great and has great tools for you to expand your knowledge. It is a great tool for new employees, even with comedy in something that can be so boring to anyone. If you're a motivated individual, there is definitely room for advancement, at least in my store, which was amazing. I saw people promoted left and right, way more than a lot of other stores, and opportunities available to people willing to take the responsibility. Nothing was handed to you; you had to earn it. Management and the GM are great at this store, and I've missed it ever since I left.
No cons. I loved Best Buy up until my last day and still do. I hope I can work there again someday, part-time.
I've never had a problem with management. I did my job without issues, and things went smoothly. I always had support from management and got along famously, even in multiple stores. If such issues arose, they were always dealt with.
Three people participate in a roundtable, and each person asks questions. All take notes. This is a situation-based interview. After the interview, you get a tour of the facility with an operations manager. Once that is complete, the process is finis
I received an initial phone screening that had basic questions such as 'Why do you want to work for Best Buy?' The second round was about half an hour with senior engineers who asked me more behavioral questions and wanted me to go through my resume
Very good. Three interviews, all went smoothly. Two were online, and the last was in person in the office. They need understanding of the technology rather than specific elements. I was able to clear all without any issues.
