You get hands-on experience with somewhat new tech. Depending on which store you work at will determine the tech you actually get to use, demo, etc. You also get nice perks like discounts and “accommodations”.
The company really doesn’t give a shit about the employees. I worked for this company for 6 years. Before the new CEO Corie, life at Best Buy was actually great. If you have any issue at the store level, your manager will probably have you call their store support line to answer your questions.
This company forced employees to shove credit cards and paid programs down customers' throats. They say it will help them, but these young employees don’t know any better, forcing debt onto customers and getting older customers to purchase their tech programs, knowing they’ll forget they have a recurring $200 yearly payment.
