A company that wants to provide the best of technology to its customers.
And a company that wants to provide good service to its customers.
The truth? Company does care, but you are an employee, in a very large wheel. An employer has to listen to a lot of employees. Customers are subject to the economy, so that is being an employee. People in general do not see eye to eye.
Do what you're doing, but also know what you're doing, and review what you're doing. But remember, the last person did too.
