Pros

A relaxed culture; no one takes things too seriously, and there is a pretty decent benefits package.

Bonuses are either something you can buy a boat with or barely afford a Happy Meal with (it changes based on company performance).

DO NOT get swindled by the bonus pitch if you interview to work here. It’s not worth the risk.

Cons

Far too much turnover in the top leadership positions. I’ve been an engineer at Best Buy for years. In the last six months, there have been at least three reorgs, where teams get new names and new leadership.

Just when people get used to things, it changes, a leader gets poached (salaries are below national average), and it starts all over again. Unqualified leaders get sucked into their former bosses' roles, and they don’t fully understand how to run things. The whole company and customers struggle because of it. Cory is a pretty face, nothing more. She, like most CEOs, is a puppet, and the board members control the strings.

Advice to Management

Stop focusing on how to get ahead and start focusing on your employees.
