I applied online in May and got a call from the recruiter on June 2018.
I was set up with a phone screen a week later on July, and the team gave feedback on the same day for the phone interview.
I was asked to solve a HackerRank problem the same week, and I completed it in a couple of days.
I was amazed at how soon the turnaround time was for the phone screen and HackerRank problem review.
I was asked for the time for an onsite interview. I responded with my availability dates and heard nothing back.
After waiting a couple of days and sending a couple of emails, I had to call the recruiter back to check why I didn't see any schedule yet.
However, to my surprise, I learned that she didn't have an answer for me.
The recruiter didn't have a proper reason to tell the candidate what and why.
I am still waiting to hear if my onsite interview will happen or not and have no clue how long I have to wait.
I understand we are on the other side and are asking for a job, but it does not give employers any right to be rude or reckless.
I was very happy to see how fast things moved and am very pissed to see how clueless I am now.
Above all, surprisingly, I see the position is still open on all the job boards.
I am not sure if they are accepting candidates or not, but holding people on shows less respect for a candidate's time, and that is not appreciable.
