Pros: Highly valued as an individual. Good compensation. Good perks (pantry, museum tickets, etc.).

Cons: Long hours are expected in the industry. Work is reasonably siloed, and teams in engineering departments have trust issues. From a tech perspective, so much is bespoke and internal that you don't get to use much industry-wide tech. There is less of a self-start mindset; there's more of a need to prioritize all the way up the command chain before allocating resources.

Pros: Highly valued as an individual. Good compensation. Good perks (pantry, museum tickets, etc.).

Cons: Long hours are expected in the industry. Work is reasonably siloed, and teams in engineering departments have trust issues. From a tech perspective, so much is bespoke and internal that you don't get to use much industry-wide tech. There is less of a self-start mindset; there's more of a need to prioritize all the way up the command chain before allocating resources.

Great company to work for if you like a flat structure

Cons: Workflow can get repetitive, with very non-linear progression due to the flat structure.
