Process

My recruiter informed me that I would be called for an interview within the next couple of days. HR then called me and set up the interview. I went there and interviewed with three people.

The first two interviewers conducted technical interviews. I was offered a pencil and paper to solve a programming exercise, which dealt with C pointers and was not complicated. The other interviewer asked general questions about C++ and object-oriented programming concepts.

The third interviewer was from HR and asked a few behavioral questions. She mostly talked about the great benefits the company offers.

I did not like the atmosphere there; it seemed like a "big brother" environment with cameras and surveillance everywhere. Additionally, it seemed like most of the technology used in-house was C or C++, and one person mentioned Fortran. This gave me the feeling that in terms of technology, I wouldn't be learning much. On the other hand, I might learn about financial markets.

The interviewers were: one was nice, and the other was neutral.

A week later, I was offered a position, but by then, I had already accepted another offer.
