It started with a phone interview, which is your basic write-some-code-through-a-text-editor online. The onsite interview consists of two parts. The first part is technical, where they will ask you two technical questions. The second part is all HR and why you want to work at Bloomberg. The interviewers were very friendly.

Pros: Bloomberg is full of opportunities for people to learn about a variety of fields. The fact that Bloomberg's main business is finance allows you to learn about it, if you have an interest, which I found incredibly valuable. Also, given the many Bloomberg verticals, there are tons of opportunities for mobility within the company, which are also great learning opportunities.
Cons: Be sure to pick the right team. As in any big company, there are lots of good people, but there are also some teams which you want to avoid. Make sure to pick well.

Pros: You get to take things at your pace. You want to move fast and take up complex tasks? You can. Want to lay low for a few months while working on a part-time degree? Of course you can.
Cons: No pressure. Pretty old technology.
Some of the skills are not portable at all.
