I gave the Bloomberg associate my resume at a career fair and received an interview offer.

However, the interviewer was not only 15 minutes late for the call, but also had an obnoxiously thick Indian accent, making it difficult to understand entire sentences. I had to repeatedly ask for clarification.

Pros: A lot of good people to work with, technically talented and diverse. A lot of interesting problems to solve in finance and technology (although this will vary by the team you're on - derivatives in my case). Compensation and benefits are pretty good.

Cons: For someone interested in working in finance, it can be a bit stifling since FSDs tend to get a bit roughshod into their technical roles.

Pros: A lot of good people to work with, technically talented and diverse. A lot of interesting problems to solve in finance and technology (although this will vary by the team you're on - derivatives in my case). Compensation and benefits are pretty good.

Long hours, but good office and pay

Pros: Open door and transparent policy. Very intelligent and motivated people, with the ability to take ownership and be proactive. Awesome training program for fresh students. Very generous benefits, great snacks, and a nice working environment.

Cons: Very aggressive culture; it might take a while to get used to. It can be very busy sometimes, and overtime is expected.
