I secured an interview with a recruiter for a very good team at Bloomberg. I received an email stating the interview would take a minimum of one hour, but to allow up to three hours. My recruiter explained there were three stages. If I passed each stage, I would proceed to the next interviewer. I was interviewed by a person I would be working with, then the head of the team, and finally HR – all in the same day.
You just need to be good with computers and know what you are doing, and you should be fine. They need smart people and recognize them when they see them.
The interview covered everything from C/C++ questions to logic questions and more. The HR person then focused on selling the company to me. I loved the interview process, the people, and the culture, office, and all that the job had to offer.
I had a final telephone interview from their head office, arranged after about three to four days. This interview featured the same types of questions, and I received an offer the next day. It was a no-brainer for me to accept it.
