Pros: Lots of smart and nice people. Bloomberg has a remarkable culture of everyone helping each other. You can reach out to anyone across the world, and they almost invariably will drop what they're doing at the moment to help you out if they can, even though they've never interacted with you before. The work/life balance is healthy. The company is privately owned, thinks long-term, and does not have a share price to chase. It's a large company covering most aspects of the financial industry, and it's very easy to move around when you want to try something new.

Cons: Lagging a bit behind on technology adoption. Nowhere near as bad as banks, but it's not quite up to FAANG standards.

Pros: Good work culture, smart people. Free food (though only soup for lunch). Great benefits. Amazing location. Volunteer opportunities as well as "communities" (clubs) provide a fun social scene.

Cons: Your experience varies from manager to manager. Promotion paths aren't clear since the company has a "flat" structure.

Pros: A lot of investment and focus on collaboration. A highly collaborative environment. Strong emphasis on mentorship, upskilling, and producing good leaders and engineers.

Cons: Highly skewed and asymmetric representation with respect to diversity. High European-origin and Asian-origin (particularly East-Asian) representation. Low representation of the Global South (with respect to origin). Little to no effort, nor desire, to address it from the management committee.
